This snow blower is packed with some incredible features from an electric start to a joystick, gear driven shoot that is as easy to use as it is tough. The plastic non-slip shoot is as indestructible as it gets, and never clogs, even in slush at 12F degrees. The Briggs and Stratton engine is the same power plant in the larger Ariens Professional 32" and 36" models and can throw snow on top of the neighbor's house that lives across the street from me. (It's a two story house, 30 meters away from my driveway) The six speed transmission and power steering means that for light snowfalls (6" or less), you can fly, just downshift to 1st or 2nd gear when you hit the icy mound at the end of the driveway left by County. That being said you can shift on the fly, while keeping the auger engaged. Steering is easy and simple; my wife who is 4'10", 100 pounds can use it and actually likes doing the driveway now! But it you need a snow blower that will handle anything Mother Nature will throw at you, you will be happy with the Power Max 1128. One last thing, the pull start is so easy and effortless; I don't even use the electric start.
What a piece of junk, first snow storm and it wouldn't clear the snow, no matter what the sliding scraper would back off and leave 1/4 to a half inch of snow on a steep drive way, called the dealer no help, he knew less than I did and didn't set it up right. I ended up using my 15 year old snow King and it worked perfect.
