Not what I expected...
on May 30, 2013
I have worn Brooks running shoes, the Addictions and Ariels, for the past 5 yrs. I have always worn a size 7.5 (one half-size up from my usual shoe size, as Brooks directs you to do). I run anywhere from 20-30 miles per week and whenever I have worn non-Brooks running shoes, I have problems. I have always been very pleased with Brooks shoes, so I have no issue paying $100+ for them...until I bought these. In the past, I've purchased my shoes from a specific running store online, but I had an Amazon gift car, so I tried Amazon this time.
These shoes seem like a really cheap, poorly made version of the Addiction. Very strange. While they have a decent amount of cushion, they lack the usual support of a Brooks motion control shoe. They were tighter across the forefoot than the other Addictions I've had and the sole of the shoe looks and seems to be squashed down. The quality was way below my expectations and not at all what I expected for a $110 pair of shoes. I'm not sure if it's the vendor I bought them through on Amazon or if it's just this version of the Addiction that was poorly manufactured, but I am not happy with this shoe at all. I will likely NOT buy my running shoes on Amazon.com in the future.
