Take a Lickin' and WILL NOT keep Tickin'
on August 20, 2013
After having this for about a month an a half, I accidentally dropped it off of the bathroom counter to the floor. Picked it up, looked ok, thought nothing of it. Later, when I checked the time, I saw that the minute hand was missing! Upon impact the minute hand was severely loosen and later came off after I put it on. Because of the open gears on the bottom of the face, the now bouncing hand got jammed in it and stop the watch from even functioning without the missing minute hand.
I took it in to a fossil store to have it repaired. While the customer service was fabulous, when I received the watch 4 weeks later disaster struck again. Not even 5 minutes after I opened the package from the repair shop I accidentally dropped the watch again, this time onto the bathroom counter instead of the floor.
While I am clumsy, I did NOT expect the minute hand to break off again in a drop less than 4 inches from my wrist to the counter. The exact same damage had occurred twice in a row.
I don't know what this say about the company, but for this watch do not by it. It will break, and it really doesn't take much to do it. While I had cheap headphones break on me before, watches this expensive should be reasonably resistant to drops less than 6 inches.
