This durable, comfortable shoe is made for walking city sidewalks, hiking county trails, climbing Eiffel Towers, or just looking hip sipping coffee at a cafe. Being Eccos they have a certain European look, but the lining cushions your feet during long walks. The mesh uppers ventilate to keep your feet cool, but not too chilly in a wind (the toe area is double-meshed, the sides flanking the tongue are single-meshed, and the tongue is padded under the mesh.) I broke them in with a 6 mile walk on an uneven road and path, and they carried me easily throughout European city streets, museums, and Alpine trails.

The toggle bungee lacing is important to me, making it easy to remove and replace the shoes quickly (especially in airports or even entering a shoes-off home.) I had trouble with the laces from one shoe pulling out of the the plastic tip when I tugged them tight. The plastic tip can be opened up easily with a small screwdriver, and the lace ends are taped together. Retaping them and capping the back into the tip didn't work for long, and I eventually sewed the two lace ends together before stuffing them back into the plastic tip.

My shoe size is 9.5, but I found the size 42 to fit perfectly - size 43 was a bit too big, but easy to return. I have the "Warm Grey" color, which has a moss-green appearance that is unusual but looks good. The style is casual and sporty, and make great travel shoes. Consider them if you want a versatile, lightweight shoe for lots of walking, and like the convenience of the bungee laces, and want your feet to remain cool during all your activities.

I've been buying a lot of ECCO shoes lately, because they all have removable, and replaceable, insoles, which is very important to me because I need strong arch support. Surprisingly, the insoles that came with this shoe have enough arch support, that I didn't need to replace them right away. They are also very well made very light weight, which is another reason they are so great for walking. This actually my second pair of Terra Cruise Lite shoes. I have another pair in a different color, an I liked them so much, I wanted to get another pair.

Comfortable, easy on and off. Apparently I'm not the only one who likes the way they look, they were stolen at my gym.

1 year later. I have never posted a review twice but feel this deserves it. When I buy a shoe from a reputable shoe manufacturer I expect it to last more than a year, especially when the product does not get heavy use. The elastic shoe laces broke today after one year. Because they are a single loop installed by the factory they are impossible to replace with original type of lace. I expect more from a company like Ecco.

I normally love Ecco shoes. They are always comfortable. I've had four pairs of Ecco Biom Lites. They're my favorite shoes.

Then I bought a pair of these 12 months ago and had to give then away after a week, my feet were so sore.

Went to an Ecco store on the weekend and foolishly bought another pair, thinking they were different. They look so comfortable, light, and airy, perfect for summer walking.

My head had forgotten, but my feet hadn't.

My main complaint is that they rub terribly at the back due to exposed stitching and a thin unpadded back. That plus the raised ankle padding that creates another seam to rub against. It probably doesn't help that they are slightly large for size, thus my heel moves around more.

I'd suggest avoiding this particular style.

Ecco has made versions of this shoe for several years. This still has the mesh that permits air flow and the elastic band laces, both excellent innovations. Where it comes up short is the sole, which is too thick and soft. Until now these have been very comfortable shoes with flexible soles and minimal heel lift. Comfortable and good for the feet. Now they fit and feel like any other sneaker on the market. They're losing their edge.

5 stars for me as I have a narrow foot and difficult to fit. Ecco is the only brand I can wear as my feet hurt in other shoes. No longer can I find a good size in New Balance to fit; they hurt my feet. Merrrell have no arch support and do not fit well. These have European styling and breath as they have side mesh to allow air flow. Ecco, as well. I must state sometimes have odd sizing issues. Normally I wear a 44 ( 10 10.5 ) but sometimes find 45 a better fit. I guess it depends on shoe style and where they are made. This particular shoe is a perfect 44 and runs narrow which suits me just fine. I suggest trying on a pair at a local ECCO store ( if you have one) then order online when they offer free shipping; and often cheaper online than in stores. Have a wide foot? Order if they offer wide model and see if they fit I guess I would suggest. Light weight as well and good cushioning for comfort. Good for walking and cycling and soft hiking.

Excellent shoe...but needed a size up as these are too narrow and hugged my feet too tightly.

The shoes have been wonderful and I loved them. I only wear them 3-4 months out of the year (bought just over a year ago). They are in great condition, but now because the lace is broken and can not be replaced, they are of zero use to me. I expected more from ECCO, based on the name and quality they have demonstrated in the past.

this is a great shoe. It has a little stretch for wider feet.

I was reluctant to order shoes without trying them on, but they were similar to my old ones that are worn out, and a good deal. Turns out they fit my feet to a tee! They are extremely comfortable to wear, and I have a limp on one leg so hard to find shoes that work for me.
I love these shoes, in fact they are the best I've ever had! Well worth the expense.
