These Henley collar T-shirts are typical of traditional original fit Carhartt work clothing--well made and cut full and loose to allow non-binding movement. I've been a buyer of the standard Carhartt T-shirts for quite a while now and these Henley models are the same cut and fabric. I love the knit fabric weight and the way they fit. Generally, I buy T-shirts a size up from my normal size to allow for shrinkage over time and due to my dislike for clothing that clings and binds. Fact is, I probably wouldn't have to do that with these shirts since they're already a little over-sized to begin with. If you prefer a tighter fit in your T-shirts, go down one size. As for shrinkage over time, there's not really much to speak of. They shrink a little but not a full size.

I wear black T-shirts almost exclusively. They don't show soiling as easily as lighter colors and they go with any other color perfectly, looking nice under a casual sport shirt. The Carhartt black shirts will fade over time with normal laundering. They seem to fade a bit more than other brands I've owned but I don't mind this. The older shirts just get worn when I'm doing the dirtiest chores, the newer shirts for light tasks for just hanging out. If you can't abide fading, don't get the black shirts or just buy something else with polyester in the fabric.

Where the Henley collar T-shirt really comes into it's strength is in the heat. It's been in the mid to high 90's around here with humidity well above the 50% level. A standard T-shirt with its tight knit collar can become a bit warm due to trapping body heat. Unbuttoning the Henley collar on this loose-fitting Carhartt shirt allows a little more air circulation for cooling. It's not Carrier air conditioning cool but it's a help when you're outside in the hot weather.

I haven't found another brand of knit cotton shirt with the quality of fabric and fit that compares to Carhartt's Work Wear. The Henley's expand the styles beyond the traditional T-shirt and I like them a lot.

I am 5' 9" tall, 160 pounds and average build. I purchased the Carhartt and Wrangler Riggs work shirts in size large, to allow for dryer shrinkage.

Overall, the Riggs shirts come out of the dryer ready to wear and have a nice, soft feel. The Carhartts come out of the dryer wrinkled, especially the collar and seemed to shrink a bit more, which I can feel with a slight restriction of my upper body movements.

The ONLY advantages my Carhartts over the Riggs is the long sleeved variant has more room in the forearm area, where the Riggs is a bit snug, and they have a much larger color selection.

Overall the Riggs seems to be a noticeably better shirt.

I have been wearing both Carhartt and Riggs pocket Henleys for years. Both were always 100% cotton and fit and felt fine. Just purchased a couple of these Carhartt Workwear Henley K84 shirts and saw that they are 99% cotton and 1% Nylon. Who'd notice that, right? Doggone! These shirts are now a bit clingy and stretch like Nylon. Tough to believe that just 1% Nylon can alter a shirt's feel this much. I don’t like this at all. Also I just noticed that these shirts say they are made in Mexico. That's also a first for Carhartt that I can remember. All in all, the shirts are OK, but nowhere near the quality that they once were. Think I'll try a few new Riggs Henleys - hopefully they haven't changed similarly.

I purchased 3 of these. I knew before ordering that they ran a size large. So I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear. I like my shirts to be a little long and these fit just the way I wanted. The weight of the fabric is heavier than most t-shirts. I like the wider hems which do not curl up like other brands I own. I also like the Henley style which are a little fancier than a regular t-shirt.

I ordered four of these shirts in the 2XL Tall size. The three that were made in Mexico were the right size. The other size that felt like a 4XL Tall was made in Honduras. I don't know why such a disparity in size. I had to return it for a refund. Beware they do shrink once washed and dried, that's why I order one size up, I like it a little baggy. If you take them hot out of the dryer and hang them hey don't need ironing.

I've been wearing these shirts for several years now. I love the fit and durability, and will continue to purchase than, I will say that in most brands I wear an XL, in these I wear a L.

The shirt is great quality. I always get an XL, but this shirt came in way bigger than I'm use to. Carhartts are made for big belly guys, so its hard to find a item I can wear. This hung down close to my knees. I just returned it.

Nice shirt, very comfortable. Just a little pricey for such a simple piece. Wish it didn't have the prominent Carhartt label, my feeling is if your going to put an ad on a shirt the advertiser should be paying for the space.

It's a carhartt perfect fit. And quality unmatched. Pocket fits large phones nicely. I have the Nexus 6p with a 5.7 screen.

I will add my raves to the masses here. This is a superb shirt. THICK cotton, wears well. Like most thick Carhartt shirts I wear a large (and in cheaper t-shirts I wear an XL due to shrinkage). With the "cheapening" of almost everything on stores shelves these days, it's nice to get real quality. When I wear my Carhartt, it just feels.....right.
