For the most part these discs have worked out great. I use them to polish rough rock, harder then marble and concrete and they have done the job brilliantly. The velcro on the headpiece pealed loose the first time I used it, but I super-glued it back down and have not had an issue since.

I initially started using these on a non-variable speed angle grinder, the velcro does not hold well at the grinder's speed and the pads slip, causing an oscillation that unbalances the grinder. I picked up some 5/8" (may be 1/4") course-threaded screw-rod from Home Depot and converted the head pieces for use in a variable speed drill, I have not had an issue with it all and the work fantastically.

Works as advertised. I used these polishing pads with the included grinder attachment on a standard 4.5" grinder to polish a concrete tub inside and out. I started with a heavy duty diamond pad to take down all the high spots on the walls and bottom of the tub. Once I started with the 50 grit however, I realized right away that I could have skipped the first step and jumped right on with the 50 grit. It removed a great deal of material, grinding down the embedded aggregates without carving grooves in the concrete surface. I then moved to the next grit up, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000, with the same grinder and pad attachment, sometimes wetting the concrete first, sometimes dry. Each performed as well as i hoped, giving me smooth and level surfaces that started to shine after grit 1500. Some pads have lost some teeth at the edge, where I rubbed them in corners and along inside edges, but they are still in good enough shape to last me through at least one other large concrete polishing job, which makes them a great value.
After having used a Festool grinder/sander and a Makita concrete grinder to sand and polish concrete countertops previously, which left me with uneven surfaces that required lots of slurry and finish work to complete, I now wish I had used these pads for that work, as the effort would have been lessened and the results would have been better.

The pads wear out quickly and the polimer directions are hard to follow, but they work. And the price is right. Anyway I would reccomend buying a few extra on the low grits as you will need them. Also, wet sanding does make quite the mess...pre-nup or send the wife out for a few days. It was not a good scene...

These were purchased to replace some from another companyI had for several years. The coarser grits,30,50,100,200 are complete junk. They would not cut anything. My old ones would remove saw marks from granite and marble tiles with no problem(50 grit). As far as the finer grit, I never got that far .

We had a similar issue with some other pads we bought on Amazon.
The adhesion between the pad part and the loop for the velcro came apart right away.

The pads work great but the Velcro came off the wheel after the first use.

Very poor quality. In no time parts of the buffing pads started to fly off. I was trying to butt bull nose edges on marble and never completed one piece. ended up using a product i bought at Harbor Freight that was much less expensive. However they did not have a high enough grit pads to get the shine I wanted to match the surface. Had thought about ordering another set but did not want to waist my money again..
