This book provides one with an opportunity to look at self (and anyone else of interest) and see why we act and respond the ways that we do, and also gives one an opportunity to see potential pitfalls certain signs may encounter, so one may work on those issues, so that their natural way of looking at life can be fine-tuned.
I absolutely love this book, and it is quite possibly the only book that I have on my shelf that I pull out several times a year.
The constellations and stars of the Zodiac, and the subject of astrology in general have traditionally been shunned by the Christian community at large. Perhaps it is well that this has been so until relatively recently, when Hicks's work explored and explained these subjects from the prosper perspective of Biblical inspiration.
The Apostle Paul wrote that all treasures of wisdom were hidden in Christ. The subject of astrology is ancient; King Solomon wrote that "there is nothing new under the sun". Now in this last generation an author has emerged who explains the topic of the stars and their very real influence on man in a spiritually correct, accurate and legitimate way.
The author's foundational premise for this book (and indeed all her writings) is found in II Timothy 3:16, 17 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God; and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
Because the book of Job is one of the 66 books of the Bible, it is part of "all scripture" and is therefore fit to be used in studying the will of God for us as believers. Some of the foundational principles in The Stars Speak are found in esoteric scriptures found in the book of Job, which itself is one of the least understood books of the Old Testament.
The author also uses the 12 tribes of Israel as a blueprint and guide to help describe and explain the nature of each of the twelve signs of the zodiac.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this reviewer nearly wept tears of joy when first reading his sign (Capricorn) as described in the Stars Speak. Many attributes of my own personality were explained in a way that I had never comprehended before; and I was better able to understand and improve my personal relationships.
The book is highly recommended to Bible-believing people who desire to know themselves and others in a greater way as they seek to prepare themselves for the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Since learning is nothing but remembering back when we were with God, this book certainly refreshes your memory and keeps you on track for the REAL REASON you are here naturally and prophetically. I personally thank our Lord Jesus Christ for this awesome book. It is a must have, and you will return to it often!
One of the things I really like about this author's style of writing is her ability to utilize patterns found throughout the Bible, proving the infallibleness of God's Truths, as revealed to a studious seeker, and line it up with visible things in the natural world. As is her custom, Hicks bases The Stars Speak solely on information provided in the Bible and provides Scriptural text references for readers to follow along. Treasures such as identity traits depending on certain lights in the sky at the time of ones birth, Moses' prophetic prayers over the tribes of Israel, and the prophecies of time (what's happened and what is to come), are all highlights readers will find in this revelatory book.
The Stars Speak also explains a scripture that I used to be confused about (Exodus 12:2 says, regarding the Passover, "This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."), and proves the difference between the natural time clock and the spiritual time clock.
As someone who has viewed many lectures by Dr. Alex Fillipenko (Professor of Astronomy at the University of California, Berkeley), I was highly intrigued to read how the study of the skies and the Bible line up in The Stars Speak.
