Born in the late 80s, grew up in the 90s, and still going... My name is Bijesh Nagesh, and I am the weirdest storyteller alive. I also have a not-so-suspicious alias, 'Joshua Mercott', which I still like, by the way. I write novels that only the maddest among us may find interesting. But someone's got to tell those stories, and they seem determined not to torture a better writer, so here we are. As far as I can remember, I have always enjoyed reading and writing. It has kept me going despite this thing called Life. Through my books, I delve into the realms of Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and the Paranormal in the hopes of entertaining my readers but also exploring lesser known realms with them. The Truth is certainly out there. So far as an independent novelist, I've completed the following books: 'The Dark Seraph' books (a 5-part fiction series), 'Long Live Death' (a standalone novel), and 'The Red Leaf' (a standalone novella), with more mad tales to come. I'm currently working on a Sci-Fi-Thriller titled "License To Die", which took me by surprise, I can assure you. I guess I'm a twisted Halloween-themed gift that just keeps writing. I started this blog "Mr. Mercott Reviewer" because I wanted a place where I could pour all the crazy bubbling inside me. Here you'll find a solitary hermit of a writer scribbling in the dark, or rather clickety-clacking away at his keyboard for no real rhyme or reason. I have always worn my heart on my sleeve, so don't be surprised if you come across an assortment of honest reviews and insane speculations in this blog. About my 'Strange Speculations', they are probably proof of my non-clinical insanity, so read those with caution. Regardless, it does feel nice to paint some shade of Truth in a world filled with enough fakery to make you question your own shadow. I pay my bills and taxes working as a Content Writer, which I've been doing for eleven years (and counting). I'm always learning something new in this sector, a fact that reminds me to stay humble and keep improving. You're never really as good as you think. This little corner of the Internet is not for everyone. There's just a lone voice here singing terrible verses in a spot that creates a nice echo. If you are keen to read weirdly written, but truthful I may add, reviews – on books, movies, shows, yada yada – or are interested in exploring adventures created by a 'tortured artist' whom dark and intricate stories simply won't leave the heck alone, then this blog might amuse you. One of my other passions includes Acting (in my regional language Tamizh). This branch of my work led me to admire and appreciate all aspects of the Performing Arts. Falling in love with the craft of the great Meryl Streep and my own grandad, C.K.Nagesh's work made me respect the empathy and depth that artists re-create on cue. That's not to say I'm one of those 'successful' types. There are plenty of challenges that yet stand before me, and I am human enough to admit uncertainty when I see it. But Meryl Streep once said, "The formula of happiness and success is just being actually yourself, in the most vivid possible way you can." I'm going to take that advice to heart and forge on. Since you've wandered so far onto this little island in the great Internet-Sea, consider yourself on a path less trodden and best forgotten. Remember J.R.R. Tolkien's evergreen words: "Not all those who wander are lost"? You, my friend, most certainly are.
