Dana Polakowski aka Dana Popov arrived from Germany in Playa del Carmen in 2002. Falling in love with the Maya folklore she started writing the book The Magical Key, right after visiting every single town and historic ruins mentioned in her book. Once becoming a mom of a beautiful girl, she picked up her writing again, finding back her passion for middle-grade fiction. She finished her book while running a successful business with her husband in Los Cabos, Mexico. She already has more ideas for her next books.
