The couple owns one of the largest family wellness centers in South Carolina, and founded an international movement of holistic parents interested in the emotional and physical development of children. Drs. Nazarenko co-host both the “Escaping Food Prison” and “The Functional Doctors” podcasts, and are sought-after speakers in natural medicine and gentle parenting. Dr. Eric Nazarenko, DC CACCP is a chiropractic physician and functional medicine practitioner. He is certified in pediatric chiropractic by the ACCP and Webster technique by the ICPA. Dr. Eric is a candidate for a Diplomate in Clinical Nutrition and has extensive experience in helping patients with gut problems. Dr. Eric focuses on maintaining the natural functioning of the body. He has helped numerous families restore health by targeting underlying causes of their dis-ease, using natural and evidence-based strategies delivered in a holistic and patient-centered way. Dr. Andrea Nazarenko, PhD is a quantitative/community psychologist whose work focuses on bridging the gap between research and practice. She has authored more than 30 peer reviewed publications in implementation science, health psychology, chiropractic, developmental psychology, and statistics. She holds a PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology (quantitative methods), as well as Masters Degrees in Psychology in Education (Columbia University), Clinical-Community Psychology, and Applied Statistics. Dr. Andrea provides consultation to healthcare systems, communities, and government in the US and abroad about how to implement new practices and policies with quality. Her primary interest is in system-level change - when you change the environment, you change the people who live there. She believes in the power of community and is determined to make wellness the norm. Drs. Nazarenko are gentle parents to three boys and live a gut-happy, chiropractic lifestyle.
