Dr. John Emil Becker is the author of 29 Children’s Books, including, Brandon Bear, Amazon Adventure, Maggie The Talented Mouse, Frenemies for Life, Wild Cats Past & Present, Mugambi’s Journey, the fifteen book Returning Wildlife series, and eight Seedling books for young readers. Dr. Becker is a graduate of The Ohio State University, a former elementary school teacher, a college professor at Macalester College and the University of Florida, an administrator at the Columbus Zoo, and he worked for many years in the field of wildlife conservation. Dr. Becker is now a full-time author living in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He taught writing at the Thurber House Literary Center in Columbus, Ohio for twenty years, and he is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
