Justin Barber

About the Author

Justin Barber is an unapologetic antiquarian. Born in Texas in 1981, Justin has lived in the Mountain West for most of his life. Having worked in nearly every hourly profession imaginable in his late teens and early twenties, he earned bachelor degrees in History and Religious Studies (2006), followed by a master's degree in History (2009), at the University of New Mexico. Justin then pursued a doctorate in History and worked as a teaching assistant at UNM until he left the university in June of 2011 to pursue a life more Lovecraftian. He studied diverse topics which ranged from the apocalyptic religious heterodoxies of medieval Europe and colonial Brazil to the positivist and determinist theories of the nineteenth-century. Recently, Justin obtained his (fictional) doctorate in Occult Studies at (the equally fictional) Miskatonic University, after which he was awarded a position (also fictional) as an associate professor. He currently resides in New Mexico with a neurotic min-pin who will be useless when the dead inevitably walk. Justin's next project, "A History of Pyrates and the Dead," will be released in the summer of 2012.
