Linda H. Feinberg

About the author

Author and Artist Statement - Linda H. Feinberg Linda Feinberg began the study of art later in life while running her own home-based business (Z-Best Bookkeeping) in Manchester, NH. She had been writing for many years by that time (many poems and articles published), her children were grown, and she was looking for another creative challenge. Her husband, writer Joe Smiga, encouraged her to take art classes and try something new. As a poet Linda creates images and emotions with words. As an artist, she tries to connect with the essence of the image aesthetically and spiritually. She is inspired by hiking and cycling in her beautiful state of New Hampshire, as well as by the verses and images from the Ta'nach (Old Testament, Torah, Prophets, Writings) and liturgy. Linda's poetry and essays came out of a turbulent time in her life. They combine poems of spiritual exploration and social critique with tributes to family and friends. She explores a wide range of emotions, writing about her experiences with divorce, aging and loss, love and forgiveness. She continues to write, posting on her blog almost weekly. Linda sold her bookkeeping business in April of 2011 and is continuing her art studies, writing and enjoying retirement. She spent 8 weeks in Israel during the winter of 2012, traveling and volunteering. In 2013 she traveled to Costa Rica and took another trip to Utah and its magnificent national parks. You can see her artwork from these places in the galleries on her website. www.lindafeinberg.com Linda has continued with her writing as well, putting up new art, photos and poems on her blog: http://avisiblevoice.blogspot.com Since her poetry books are currently out of print, she decided to make them available as e-books instead.
