Anastasia Vincent began her writing career at a young age, finding inspiration in every book she read and every movie she watched. J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis being her favorite authors, the stories of Middle Earth and Narnia naturally intersected with Anastasia's world and brought on the inspiration for her creative career in literature. They remain the authors she is aspiring to live up to. In good Tolkien/Lewis fashion, Anastasia uses elements of her own world as inspiration to create her fantasy worlds. Her parents and seven siblings; the love of neighbor taught by her Byzantine Catholic Faith; the towering forests behind her Pacific Northwest home; her family's passion for art and creativity; her antlered neighbors; black and white TV shows with their stalwart heroes; sisters (and brothers) practicing karate, knife throwing and archery, all played a role in forming Anastasia's many stories.
