Mary R. H. Demmler is the author of Phe and the Work of Death and maintains her website prayerfulkitchen.blog. She grew up in Hall County, Georgia, on the farm that’s been in her family for over 200 years and is happy to have recently moved back with her husband and three children. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Washington and Lee University, she went on to earn a Masters of Divinity from Duke University. In her writing, Mary draws from her experiences as a pastor and chaplain, having served inside and out of the Episcopal Church for over 18 years. These days you will find her most often either writing, cooking, or speaking to groups and organizations about her book or her love of cooking or both!
