Peter S. Giakoumis is a historical consultant and researcher of Greek military history. His primary focus is the Greek-Americans of the early 20th century. Mr. Giakoumis served as a reserve Captain, Army Division, New York Guard for six years, and he is the Director and Founder of the Greek-American 1912 Project which is focused on preserving and promoting the memory and sacrifices of the Greek-Americans and Philhellenes that took part in the two Balkan Wars of 1912-1913 and their subsequent accomplishments. The Project will continue to give presentations, consult, and promote the accurate portrayal of those involved leading up to, during and post Balkan Wars period of 1912-1913. He holds a master's degree in international relations, and has authored various works: Greek-American Pioneers & Philhellenes of the Balkan Wars of 1912-13 (2016), and the Pioneer Greek Americans (2017).
