Richard Kohar is a lecturer of mathematics at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. He enjoys teaching mathematics to students who may be afraid of taking it, such as humanities students, and finds it a worthy challenge to tame their fears. He received his B.Sc. from McMaster University and his M.Sc. from RMC, both in mathematics. Besides being a textbook author, Richard enjoys classical music. He has hosted a radio show on community radio for the past ten years, and continues to hoard vinyl and CDs.
