LG's BD270 works great when you get it. Unfortunately after 4 to 6 months it will just stop reading Blue Ray Discs. (DVD's still work though). Calling tech support puts you in the "script" of testing things like cables and unplugging/replugging, checking batteries in remote and other useless diagnositcs. (I'm sure Tech Support knows about this issue)
I would like LG to come out and make a press release about their faliure in this product. I too am left without my player reading Blue Rays. I have spent hours doing the "script thing" with tech support. I can't imagine how big this issue must be. The average person probably goes out and buys a new Blue Ray when this happens. (This would save you hours in Useless Tech Support).
So here is my question. What do we need to do to make LG come out and achknowledge their failure in this device? Ideally I'd like to see a statement about how they know it does eventually fail and I would love to see a product recall. Would love to hear more ideas on how to actually make this happen.
