She must have hit the "back" button.

But isn't this a rather non-sequitorish post in the first place?

"But isn't this a rather non-sequitorish post in the first place? "

Something like that. And it's yet another example of what I mentioned on the Vine forum a week ago. While some reviewers' forums on Amazon concern themselves with how in heck UPS can dare take an extra day to deliver a book in a blizzard or the best means to remove stickers, we open our arms here at the Top Reviewers Forum to all manner of colorful characters.

Ms. Black,

I read the "review" of your book by Sue-Sue and your comments and counter-review. If what you are saying can be proved I am sure that Amazon would take a look at removing the review. Have you tried contacting them? Have you looked into legal options?

"non-sequitorish"?? about as much as who's not watching the superbowl, and looking like a famous person. ps: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sequitur?show=0&t=1297202446. Following the precise meaning of the root, not the web-way of spelling, I have to answer that I was prompted to Start A New Discussion, therefore the "non-sequitUr-ish nature of the post is irrelevant...Why AM I dabbling in this Non_Writing. I guess I'm a little pugnacious by genetic design, but have to look at that memo above my desk to realize this is a waste of precious time.

I don't understand any of this. It sounds like English... but...

I guess I'll go back to reviewing fake turds.

Ms. Black, it just seemed weird to me to start ranting, right off the bat. Maybe lead into it next time.

In any case, you've got to love an author who calls herself a "trashy writer."

I can't find her book, or the review in question. Links?

Tim, the review by Sue-Sue was from almost five years ago.

Here is a link to the book in question (see the review by Sue-Sue):

"Tim, the review by Sue-Sue was from almost five years ago."

Yeah, I noticed that too, Jason. Her comments however are very recent. I think that there is a whole lot more to this story that we don't know.

Okay. But why are you on this forum, right now? How can any of us help you? Thanks, too, for your life story, but I don't know what you think we can do about any of your problems.

I am absolutely fascinated by all of this. I read the review by Sue-Sue, and didn't understand at all what was mentioned in the review that was so inflammatory to Cheryl Black. I can tell Cheryl is madder than hades though, so no doubt... there is something behind all this that rubs her the wrong way.

I just have a few questions:

Is Evan McCullough the real name of Sue-Sue?
Does Amazon REALLY know about the 'grassburr surgery' performed on his foot at the tender age of 10?
Was Cheryl licensed to perform surgery?
When and why did Evan go to court?
What the heck about the Sue-Sue review even approaches a breach of Amazon rules?
So two of your sons are dentists? Do they both recommend chewing Dentyne gum for their patients who chew gum? (Marketers would have us to believe that it is statistically probable that they do.)
So if Evan is a Devil worshiper, why the failed poisoning attempt on the dogs? Why didn't he sacrifice them to his dark lord?
On a related note, if he was unsuccessful in killing the dogs, doesn't that make him 0 for two? not two for 0?

I can only assume that everyone else already knows the background... so forgive me for being slow. I am on your side Cheryl. Evan sounds like a real Cockadoody!

It seemed you were interested in how Amazon works, and more importantly, the results when it flat out doesn't.

I don't think anyone here has the faintest idea of why you are writing any of this. This thread should be allowed to drop off the forum, as quickly as possible.

Cheryl,

You "listened to assurances for an hour and a half that something would be done" about this? C'mon. Really? You were on the phone for an hour and a half with Amazon about this? Seriously. were you?
