Oh look! Sonymites have something new to play on the wake of Halo 4. Cheers!

The original Epic Mickey fell somewhat short of its promise when it hit Wii in 2010, so how dares the multiplatform sequel Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two fare? You can see for yourself, as a demo is out today for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a few levels for your sampling satisfaction.

The Xbox demo is on the Marketplace now as a 1.1GB download, initially exclusive to Live Gold members as is customary, while the PS3 demo will arrive in this afternoon's PlayStation Store update.

"Players will adventure as Mickey Mouse and explore the extensive tutorial and early levels of the game including the magical laboratory of the sorcerer, Yen Sid," publisher Disney Interactive explained in today's announcement. "In addition, players will meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Walt Disney's first cartoon star, and experience a few of the fun co-op abilities."

Epic Mickey 2 is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Wii U on November 18.

They are releasing the game for 360 and PS3 on a Sunday alongside the Wii U version? That's weird.

I can't wait to hear demo impressions from XBL Silver members.... Oh, wait.

Well, surely non PS+ members won't have access to this demo either.... Oh, wait.

I'm interested to see if they fixed all the glaring mechanical issues the first game had because the potential was great.

Despite those issues I thought it was a great game. Here is to hoping they fix it.

Part of my problem is that I despise the Wii controller set-up so that very much affected my enjoyment of the game. Still, here's hoping they fix the checkpoint system as I think that bugged me the most.

I enjoyed the demo I played today. :) I didn't do co-op, but Oswald's AI was really good in single player.

I liked using the Xbox 360 controller more than having to aim with the Wii Remote.

Music to my ears.

Well it's on PS3 and 360 now, unless it's Move and Kinect required you should be better off. Biggest problem I had with the first game though was the camera.

I'll check out this demo. I remember reading about the first one back when I had gameinformer, but it sounds like it didn't quite deliver. Hopefully this one is good.

Couldn't find it last night. Honestly I friggin hate the new PSN store layout - looks good but I can't find anything.

I didn't have any problems. Went to New Demos and it was the first one up there. I do hate how you have to select 5 or 6 options to download now.

"so how dares the multiplatform" ? I think he meant to write "how fares the multiplatform"

I'll look there. Thanks.

I just want to know what's new and it seems (maybe I'm doing it wrong) to be all over the place.

I completely forgot about this. I'll download it tonight, but I probably won't be trying it for a while.
