Nice to look at but mind-numbingly frustrating to play. I need a cortisone shot in my shoulder after trying to shoot through a character who aims like a drunken sailor (way too much sway). Scripting seems to favor snap-shooting as too much care usually leads to ludicrous animal behavior (looks line dancing!) and usually After you pull the trigger - which means the game delays your shot so that you've actually triggered the evasive behavior. Like others I've experienced game crashes and 'stuck' animals I couldn't claim. For me, that meant losing some great kills.

    My favorite game. I have added all the maps (it comes with two, added Siberia and Africa). Several patches have been made by the company, and the graphics are stellar! The developers continue to improve the game (updates are free), and adding new challenges to keep you playing. Well worth the money. In fact I have both the xbox version and the PC version.

    Would not work and had to return and seller sent code to get game from steam. Maybe they should just sell the codes so you don’t have to go thru the hassle of returning. Game is fun though. My 13 year old loves it and plays with his friends online!

    The game itself is good and the graphics are awesome even on my cheap little lap top. However, you have to download the entire game from steam, it is not just a disc you pop in and go. I've been playing it for about two weeks and so far the download itself took hours, I have to play in offline mode a lot due to bad internet, and steam constantly has trouble. The other day it couldn't even recognize the game was downloaded already and made me go half way through the steps of redownloading before it found the files again. So, to sum it up the game is fun but steam isn't worth the nightmare it creates, especially with offline mode.

    I'm not sure how the game is to play. We purchased the game for my son and, after receiving it, found out we would need a $200 video card to play it. When we double checked the description on Amazon, nothing was said about needing such an expensive video card to be able to play. Since we can't return it, we are stuck with an unusable game!!

    To be clear, I haven't enjoyed a hunting game since Deer Hunt 2005 from Atari. This game is the best I have found since then. It is a very solid game.

    The woods comes alive on my 1440p Monitor. Trees, grass, rocks, water, shadows, fog, buildings, etc.. All look amazing. The animal models aren't perfect, but they are more than adequate.

    They animal ai is one area this game suffers. The first large antlered deer I saw got spooked and turned to run away. At which point it ran into a giant rock and just kind of ran in place as it slowly slid down the rock until it was free to run away.

    In today's world of very limited options for solid hunting action, this game stands above the rest. It isn't perfect, but it is a solid game.

    Fast shipping. I had a blast with this game. One of the best hunting games out there. Know that you will need to install Steam to your computer and create an account in order to play. This is not a standalone version of the game, the Cd only installs the original version and prompts you with a steam install. Bugs are getting ironed out as of late, giving you a great and realistic hunting experience. The only downfall I can think of is the grind/$ system that requires you to play a lot in order to get the best guns/scopes/lures etc.. But you shouldn't have any problem getting there if you love the game like I do.
