After reading a lot of negative and "meh" reviews, I really hesitated buying this item, but WOW, so glad I did! I was already disabled but had a stroke last year which really was debilitating in weird little ways I hadn't thought about, including not being able to use the small nail scissors that I've always been able to use okay.
I bought these last week and was stunned at how great these worked with just my one good hand. Of course you need a little dexterity to be able to put it on a flat surface, but once you do, I was amazed at how cleanly they cut. They even catch most of the clippings, which you can empty out by tilting the gadget forward where you put your nail and basically shake them out! Really ingenius! It even has a rough area you reach by flipping it open, so you an file any rough spots down.
Seriously, I would recommend these to ANYONE with arthritis or quadriplegia and would DEFINITELY buy this item again!!

Good for those with large hands/arthritis, but not 100% sharp

I can see this being very useful for those with arthritis, as it is large and does not require much strength to push. It has a large nail file (the silver part) and would also be useful for those with bigger hands. Unfortunately, while the middle of the blade was sharp, the sides were not at all and ended up ripping my nail. Perhaps I got a lemon? Also, my hand is on the smaller side and I found it a tad cumbersome for me.Would recommend for those who would benefit more than me.
