Are you always looking for your phone? Let TrackR help you find it! Pair your phone with the TrackR app and Alexa can tell you the last place you left it. Alexa can also ring your phone at full volume, even on silent mode.
To setup: 1.) Enable the Find My Phone skill by Trackr from your Alexa app or by saying "Alexa, enable the Find My Phone skill". 2.) Get the TrackR app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store installed on your mobile device. 3.) Launch the TrackR app and select "Add a new device" and then choose "Alexa Integration" and the "Start Setup". 4.) Now ask Alexa for your pin by saying “Alexa, ask TrackR for my pin” 5.) Enter the pin code into the TrackR app and click Submit.
Note: Ensure Background App Refresh and location services are enabled for the TrackR app so your phone can be found when the app is in the background.
To get started: - Say “Alexa, ask TrackR to find my phone” - Alexa should respond with the street address your phone is at. - Say "Alexa, ask TrackR to ring my phone" - Your phone should start ringing with the custom TrackR alert - Once found, open the TrackR app to silence the ringing.

I paired the skill with the iOS Trackr app by following the simple instructions (need to ask Alexa for the pin). After that it just works. I don't need to keep the Trackr app open or even have the phone unlocked. The Trackr app does need permission to run in the background and allow notification though, but other than that it just works.
Awesome app. My wife Is constantly misplacing her phone. It works well. I think most of the problem people are having is not having an account before asking for the pin. My Biggest complaint is only supports one phone!
Works but when I went to pair a second phone the only option is to unpair the first. Is having more than one phone in a household that uncommon? If I missed how, sorry, if I am correct, this is an example of why rushing to put out features that are 1/2 done isn't a good practice, especially when it is something as basic as this.
It works one or two times and then quits. Alexa keeps telling me to download app and enable skill. I have done this several times. I'm giving up and uninstalling it. Great idea though and I hope they work out that quirks.
So the skill is really convenient! I wish you could just straight up ask "Alexa, can you find my phone?" But just like every skill I've used (except Hue) requires you to open the skill by voice.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE APP OPEN IF YOURE USING IOS! I don't know why Apple doesn't allow background applications like Android does in 2017. Hopefully iOS 11 fixes this. But yes, you need the app, there is no way for Trackr's server to talk to your phone without it. And yes, if you have iOS you NEED to leave the app open (I also don't understand why we can't lock apps to the app manager, c'mon Apple, I thought you cared)
This skill runs a lot cleaner with an Android. If you have any other devices that can get the Trackr app, it will also locate them assuming they have a connection to the internet, or are not dead.
