What makes a uni-ball Vision Rollerball Pen so unique? It’s incredible ink! Each uni-ball rollerball pen has free flowing and fluid ink, similar to a fountain pen. You can actually feel the ball contacting the paper and see the ink flowing out of the pen as you write. And like all uni-ball pens, each roller pen features uni Super Ink which protects against water, fading and fraud. This pigment based rollerball ink contains particles that form an indelible bond in paper- it can’t be broken...ever. The best rollerball pen, they have archival quality ink that’s great for documenting and record keeping and is acid free. The larger particles deliver solid vivid colors every time you write.
Top Customer Reviews
I find the .5mm tip ideal - not so fine that you actually scratch your writing material, but noticeably thinner than the .7mm so-called "fine tip" that in reality produces what I'd call a "medium" written line. The ink flow is great, and once dry, the ink is impervious to every common solvent I've had the misfortune to spill on written material over the many years I've used them, including rubbing alcohol. And while no liquid ink dries "instantaneously", this stuff does dry more quickly than most liquid-ink pens. On porous paper, you almost don't notice that it in fact does actually have to "dry" before it becomes smear-proof, but on glossy surfaces (the backs of credit cards, for example), you do have to let it sit for a noticeable period of time. But after that, it's almost impossible to eradicate.
The colors are always vibrant and the ink flows evenly and perfectly onto the page as you write. I do not seem to get the "blobs" that come from some gel pens, you know, those blotches of ink at the end of a sentence or at the beginning when you first start to write. That is a plus as I hate those things and they cause an unsightly blot on the page.
These pens are also a good price point and shouldn't bust your office supplies budget.
I bought them in a 0.5mm Micro ball version, after having tried the 0.7mm, and would be happy with either size. The 0.5mm lays down a thinner width line, so is less "bold", but works just fine for my taste and smears less on some papers (like newsprint ... where I do my daily Sudoku for example).
It is a nice pen and writes very smoothly. My only complaint about the pen itself is that it tends to build up excessive ink on the outside of the tip. However, I should have paid closer attention to realize I was overpaying for one pen!
