Product Description

UNEARTHLY TRANCE summons forth V; an electric, urban funeral drone and their most epic full-length to date. With V the trio has come full circle; combining the expansive leanings of Electrocution and The Trident with the sparing, brooding doom of their earliest works. UNEARTHLY TRANCE s unwavering dedication to their principle s and craft has yielded some of America s best metal with V

Why aren't there more reviews for these guys? This is without question one of the standout heavy music cd's from 2010. So heavy, so slow, so doomy, so brutal! This isn't 'easy' music, it will take a few listens for the true power of what these guys are doing sinks in, but give it time, and the power of the riffs, the slow pummeling doom, and the lyrical power will reveal itself! This is brilliant!

Life as an uphill battle, you know, the kind you can't win. Still, you push ever forward, fists flailing, connecting with nothing. Swing, swing, swing, swoosh. Air. Futile. The sky is grey. No love. The weight is upon you. The hate covers you, absorbs you, dipped in honey you are and staked upon an anthill. You were waiting for it, and you take it, gladly.

I have enjoyed this band for many years. This album doesn't change that.

My flesh is eaten away by the reality of the days and this is the soundtrack...always has been, always will be.

I've been a big fan of all unearthly trance's records so far, and initially i was taken back by this one. There are no "instant' hits and this one is far doomier and experimental than the last few, but it slowly crept into my brain and distorted my thoughts. I found riffs sticking in my head and i started becoming obsessed with listening to the album front to back...and that's really the only way to do it, since it's basically one continuous flowing piece of music. The production is great too...big, warm and dark, and it really deserves to be listened to on vinyl. Needless to say, V is at the very top of my "best of 2010" list.

the three guys that comprise Unearthly Trance woke up angry one day and decided to take their aggression out in the studio. this is a mix between anger and artistry. these guys rock! the bass can not only be heard, but felt as well. this sounds like a mix of black metal, doom, and in some spots, neoclassical, so imagine Dimmu Borgir jamming with Cathedral and Rhapsody of Fire. song no. 4 sounds as if Ryan Lipynski is channeling Jim Morrison and on song. 5, there are some spooky effects. did I mention that this rocks? are they coming out with anything new? I hope so.
