About the Author
Dave Holt was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, of Irish, English, and Ojibway (Chippewa) Indian ancestry. He began as a lyricist and songwriter, a vocation that led to his move to California in 1970. He entered San Francisco State Creative Writing program and earned his B.A. in '93, and M.A. in '95. In 2005, he founded a Native Peoples Group for employees of American Indian heritage or affiliation working at Wells Fargo Bank. Dave is included in Red Indian Road West: Native American Poetry from California available at Scarlet Tanager Books. He lives in Northern California with his wife Chappell, near their daughter Kelsey. Email: email@example.com
