I recently spent 2 weeks in France with my 82 year old mother who wanted to recount her memories of the French occupation as she had been curiously interested as a young girl during the war living in the USA. "I Was a War Child" by Helene Gaillet de Neergaard adds even more history and depth to my mother's accounts. I can't wait to share this book with her. I have both the written copy and with Amazon's free Kindle version, we can both enjoy this story and we will share it with many others.
